I am pestered by sms's sent by my authority to try and entice me to go and wrok for half-pay. From now on I will agree to do the very short-term work if they pay me my proper rate. I believe that under EU Work and Pensions Directives that this cut in pay is illegal. Why have the unions not hired a barrister to test this in a local or european court? The answer is that the EIS and most of the rest care only about their full-time members who pay their expenses and lunch bills and not about the itinerants that keep education going.
